A member of the Corporate Acquisitions and Real Estate group, this financial position will be responsible for a wide range of data and financial analyses supporting the current portfolio of non-retail pharmacy acquisitions, including all non-retail budgeting and forecasting responsibilities. The non-retail pharmacy category includes CVS’s long-term care, infusion, specialty, 340b, audiology, and optometry businesses. The position will also assist in the improvement and execution of financial pro forma modeling processes for prospective deals. These financial pro forma models are used to build valuations for prospective acquisitions. Tasks will include deep-dive data analysis, budgeting/forecasting, pro forma financial modeling and analysis, real estate and acquisition field support, and valuation. This role will support broader Corporate Acquisitions and Real Estate goals of using acquisitions as a tool to achieve incremental scripts, revenue, EBIT, while delivering a portfolio with attractive returns on invested capital.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Portfolio analysis: Collaborate across departments and work with complex financial data from multiple databases/systems to assess the current financial return of each historical acquisition in the non-retail acquisition portfolio. Compare those returns against modeled pro forma expectations and analyze variances. Report findings convincingly to necessary stakeholders via establishment of structured reporting cycle. Become the non-retail portfolio’s financial performance expert, performing additional ad hoc data analyses as needed.
2. Budgeting/forecasting: Responsible for all non-retail acquisition forecasting and budgeting deliverables to external groups (FP&A, Accounting, etc.), as well as internal non-retail reporting requirements (senior leadership meetings, monthly reviews, etc.). Effectively build consensus internally and communicate externally. Act as liaison with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure alignment on non-retail acquisition-related forecasts, reforecasts, and budget items.
3. Pro forma modeling improvements: Use findings from portfolio analysis to make improvements in existing pro forma modeling process and assumptions. Specifically, question assumptions used to build current pro formas, obtain and interpret data necessary to answer those questions, and propose alternatives. Put pressure on modeling status quo.
4. Determine enterprise value of potential long-term care, infusion pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, audiology, optometry, and 340B acquisitions by modeling pro forma financials and analyzing financial statements, quality of earnings reports, confidential information memorandums, and due diligence files.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of work experience in Investments, Acquisitions, or Financial Planning.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree a plus.
1. Understanding of corporate financial statements and financial concepts, including basic understanding of valuation techniques.
2. Ability to deconstruct complex problems and develop practical solutions through data analysis and quantitative reasoning. A preference for working with data, in search of actionable insights that make an impact.
3. Strong grasp of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
4. High proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint. Proficiency in Excel Macros and Access a plus.
5. Experience with SAP, SQL, MicroStrategy and ability to learn new tools quickly.
6. Results driven with a desire to work with a high degree of autonomy within a team framework in a fast-paced environment.
7. Demonstrated ability to perform well and with a high degree of accuracy.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
9. Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
10. Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders who may have different priorities than yours.

Bachelor’s Degree is required.
