Job Description
The Oracle Database Administrator is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of the Oracle database internals with both 11g and 12c versions. May require on call responsibilities.

Database installations, configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, backup and recovery, problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database administrator performs.

1. Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema’s, DDL, users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments
2. Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning).
3. Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, upgrades, and migrations.
4. Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, export/import and DBA tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager)
5. Assist with performance and Disaster Recovery testing.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years experience working with mission critical Oracle 11g/12c databases in a high profile type of organization.

Minimum 3+ years experience in the following areas: Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, upgrades and problem diagnosis and resolution.

Experience with Oracle RAC and RAC One Node
Experience with Oracle RMAN
Experience with Oracle Data Guard
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience with Disaster Recovery implementation and testing

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Golden Gate
Experience in Unix OS
Experience with other DBMS platforms such as SQLServer MySQL, and MariaDB

Bachelor's degree or any relevant associated technical degree
