Job Description
As the Associate Inventory Planner, you will be accountable for supporting Inventory Planners in managing inventory and its components to ensure that inventory and service levels are within targets defined by leadership and can support the demand planning forecasts.
As the Associate Inventory Planner, you will also be responsible for adequate promo and cycle inventory and coordinating with other planners in the category to ensure availability of product to support system billing. You will also be managing a portion of planning systems (JDADemand, Fulfill and/or SoftSolutions) within a subset of the business.

Responsibilities of the Associate Inventory Planner include:
- Support achieving sales, margin, in-stock and inventory targets.
- Maintain a subset of JDA and/or SoftSolutions plans to ensure adequate inventory availability for specific sales-driving activities including but not limited to Promotions, Off-Shelf and Cycle events
- Perform Supply Chain flow disruption analyses and take pro-active measures to minimize or eliminate item availability issues
- Assist Supply planners with maintaining inventory and purchase plans using JDA Fulfill and Order Optimization module
- Identify and assist with implementation of actionable plans to meet inventory goals
- Use input from the analytics team to set appropriate safety stock levels and replenishment parameters within JDA and SoftSolutions
- Implement alternate / deal buying opportunities with guidance from Supply Planner

Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Retail industry experience in Merchandise
planning

AND/OR

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Management Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management

Preferred Qualifications
- JDA Forecasting & Replenishment, Supply Chain Certification an asset - RSSD, CSCMP or APICS.
- Strong overall computer skills using quantitative products such as MS Excel
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently resolve issues
- Good judgement and decision making abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills

Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelors degree preferred
