Job Description
Applications Manager, Senior Advisor is responsible to provide leadership and governance for all software releases deployed into Production. Building trusted relationships and partnering with the many delivery teams that operate in the matrix organization to ensure the software releases meet the production readiness requirements, helps our business partners accomplish the business objectives. In addition to providing Release Governance, this position will also lead Root cause Analysis for production issues and ensure Defect Elimination plans are in place to prevent issues from re-occurring in production. Senior Advisor, App Management will perform the role of Product Owner in terms of managing the product pipe-line and tracking issues that affect the system’s quality and stability parameters.

Additional responsibilities include:
* Experience developing a team culture to show high regard for adherence to quality standards and operating at maximum efficiency
* Leads with a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues in order to meet IT goals for the organization
* Experience delivering comprehensive communications to management regarding the status and planned improvements in the systems
* Proven experience in managing large applications that are mission critical
* Experience in Retail Pharmacy systems or similar healthcare industry

Required Qualifications
* Minimum of 8 years of professional IT experience

Preferred Qualifications
* 10+ years of IT experience
* Minimum of 3 years working as Application Manager
* Past experience working as a Solution Architect/Enterprise Architect who has familiarity with systems architecture and application design
* Experience running large mission critical deployments
* Knowledge and understanding of CVS Health Software development lifecycle
* Experience working in Matrix organization culture
* Strong communication, interpersonal and influential skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
* Excellent reasoning and strong decision making skills
* Risk Assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills
* Ability to track outcomes versus expected results in a fact based manner
* Ability to bridge communication among technical and non-technical project staff and customers
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Technical field or comparable work experience required.
* Master’s in Computer Science related program preferred
