Job Description
As an Analytic Development organization team member, you will have responsibility for the design, development and delivery of analytic solutions.
You will collaborate with business partners from product, operations, medical affairs, finance, and marketing to demonstrate the value of CVS Health products and services. You will utilize data to make strategic decisions, find opportunities for existing product improvement and support new product development.
In this exciting role, you will design and conduct rigorous analyses of pharmacy claims, medical claims, and other data and translate your analytic findings for appropriate business and customer audiences.
The exciting areas you will be involved in include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Collaborating with key partners to capture and analyze needs and requirements to design and implement robust analytic solutions to support these needs;
* Accessing data, constructing and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses, using SAS, SQL and similar tools;
* Developing rigorous methodology to measure the financial and clinical impacts and outcomes of programs and interventions; Assessing existing available data, identifying data gaps, and collaborating with Data Strategy and business partners to develop approaches to closing the data gaps; Building dynamic dashboards using Tableau and drawing actionable insights from the data; Conducting analyses of the data, ranging from descriptive reports to univariate statistical analyses to regression modeling;
* Constructing and delivering written reports of the your findings in a variety of formats (reports, PPT, including visualization of data and findings), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting the results to potential non-analytic audiences;
* Communicating complex technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences; such as explaining methodology, training end users on how to use summary data layers and dashboards, and development of documentation and training materials;
* Tailoring the analytic solution to the specific client need and constraints of delivery timelines;
* Applying creativity in developing analytic solutions based on available data sources, and in representing analytic findings in reports, tools, and other media to support the most effective translation and application for our customers;
* Managing complex projects related to a wide variety of financial, utilization, and operational business needs.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting analytical opportunity, you should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an analytics role. Postgraduate education may count toward required years of experience.
You will also need to have the following experience:
* Problem solving skills and experience constructing analytic solutions to business problems;
* Developing creative analytic approaches using available internal and external data sources;
* Retrieving data from large databases with SQL and performing analysis with SAS or a similar program;
* Experience interacting with and influencing decision-making by business audiences;
* Working knowledge of statistical methods.

Preferred Qualifications
* Working with multiple business areas, such as operations, finance, sales, product, and marketing;
* Experience developing methodology to measure program and intervention outcomes
* Conducting data analysis in healthcare settings;
* Working with administrative claims data such as pharmacy or medical claims;
* Experience developing dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau;
* Working knowledge of health care industry products/services and operations.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in qualitative field, such as statistics, biostatistics, analytics, epidemiology, public health, or economics. A graduate degree is preferred..
