Job Description
The essential functions of the Analyst - Accounting Retail include, but are not limited to:

* Participate in monthly accounting cycle
* Prepare month end general ledger journal entries for AR, Revenue, COGS, AR, refunds, revenue adjustments, reserves and other related accounts
* Prepare and upload the AR aging files
* Communicate with business owners to ensure appropriate information is getting recorded and issues are resolved
* Responsible for the accurate preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
* Responsible for various Sarbanes-Oxley controls and ensuring that those controls are operating effectively and taking place at the appropriate time intervals, consistent with internal documentation
* Research and prepare reports for the internal and external audit
* Prepare ad-hoc reports for management and for other departments
* Assist with establishing and updating accounting policies and procedures
* Ability to take initiative in making sure work is completed on time and issues are resolved timely
* Assist Senior Accountant(s)/Accounting Manager(s) with special projects
* Perform other related duties, activities, projects as required

Required Qualifications
1 or more years of accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications
CPA and or MBA a plus
Analytical mind
Good communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, Outlook)

Education
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Accounting or Finance.
