Job Description About AECOM National Security Programs:

Position Title:

DEA Cleared Spanish Linguist- Project based schedule

Required: DEA clearance or DOD Secret Clearance. Must be US citizen and clearable.
Must be near native in both spoken and written language abilities for english and the target foreign language required.

Position summary: Listen carefully to live phone calls and disseminate information to DEA agents both verbally and in written format.

Tasks:

Listen to live intercepted calls

Identify speakers in phone calls, provide verbal interpretation of what is being said to case agent.

Write a detailed summary of phone conversation

Check and confirm speakers of intercepted calls are correctly identified.

Listen and revise the session synopsis for clarity, and accuracy of translation, and consistency and uniformity of terms, codes, nick names, and aka s.

Revise spelling and grammar in the synopsis.

Confirm Classification Status for correct classification of intercept.

Confirm all fields are properly completed.

Revise intercepted associated number to ensure it has been recognized as used by the identified speaker.

Marked session as completed

Review of non pertinent calls

Identify the participants

Discover whether or not the intercepted conversation is of a pertinent nature

Apply appropriate minimization to the intercept

Summarize the pertinent information within the conversation in written form

Report all timely pertinent information to a superior

Complete processing of the intercept

Pass important information along to fellow monitors

Education:

Requires a Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience, and zero to two years of relevant experience.
